DOLCE BONTÀ – WHERE TRADITION TASTES LIKE HOME
It all began in 1977, in Putignano, a small town in Apulia where the passion for cooking and the aroma of freshly baked bread were part of everyday life.
Marisa, a young housewife with a love for simple, genuine gestures, would prepare tarallini as a snack for her children. Her husband Antonio, a postman full of initiative, would take them to the village’s wood-fired oven, turning each batch into a moment of sharing.
One day, Antonio showed up at the post office with a basket of still-warm tarallini. Just one bite was enough to spark the magic. Those crisp, wholesome, and flavorful little rings won everyone over, and soon demand began to grow. What started as a homemade treat for a few friends has now become a daily production of 8,000 kilograms of tarallini.
For over forty years, the company has proudly shared Apulian tradition through its baked goods: simple, honest, made with natural ingredients and the kind of care that feels like home.
THE APULIAN TARALLINO – A CRUNCHY BLEND OF FLAVOR AND IDENTITY
Crunchy, fresh, and incredibly versatile, Dolce Bontà’s tarallino is more than just a snack: it’s a symbol of Mediterranean conviviality. Delicious on its own, perfect with a glass of wine or as an alternative to bread, each bite captures the Southern sun, artisanal skill, and the joy of sharing.
They come in many flavors to suit every taste: from classics like extra virgin olive oil, fennel seeds, rosemary, or chili pepper, to varieties that celebrate the Mediterranean, such as sun-dried tomato tarallini from Puglia or those with black pepper and lemon. Bold, fresh flavors that evoke the sea, the land, and the Italian summer.
This is more than tradition: it’s culture, memory, and future. Because preserving time-honored recipes while embracing innovation is the best way to bring a small but mighty heritage of flavor to tables across Italy and the world.
