The story of Acetaia Bellei is rooted in a tradition carefully preserved over time.

In Casoni di Ravarino, a small village in the province of Modena, Grandmother Rosina tended her Balsamic Vinegar following knowledge passed down since the 19th century, when a set of small wooden barrels represented both a family treasure and a symbol of continuity. For this heritage, our company’s identity was born.

Since 1929, Luigi Bellei, who managed the Bellei winery dedicated to the production of Lambrusco di Sorbara, carried forward Rosina’s passion by expanding the family’s aging cellar, which grew to include more than 3.500 wooden barrels.

In 1989, thanks to the vision of Mariangela Bellei, the family winery evolved into Acetaia Bellei, choosing to focus exclusively on Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. This strategic decision brought together tradition and entrepreneurial vision, guiding production toward rigorous quality standards, exclusively Italian raw materials, and careful control of every stage of the process. Today, Acetaia Bellei produces Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, a wide range of organic products, as well as glazes and specialty condiments.

Quality has driven the company’s expansion into international markets, from Europe to the United States, Canada, and Asia, while preserving its family nature, now in its fourth generation. Alongside tradition, the company places strong emphasis on responsibility: production processes powered by solar energy, a Code of Ethics guiding business decisions, and governance attentive to environmental and social matters.
