INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR ITALY: BETWEEN RECONFIRMATIONS AND NEW ATTENDANCES, THE FAIR PROMISES TO BE FULL OF GREAT OPPORTUNITIES.

International Hardware Fair Italy returns on 8-9 May 2025 in Bergamo, strengthened by the success recorded in the 2024 edition of EISENWARENMESSE, the world’s leading exhibition dedicated to the hardware sector that attracted more than 38,000 visitors from 133 countries in Cologne.

A second edition with high expectations will be held in May 2025, alternating in odd years with EISENWARENMESSE. Within in a continuously changing market and an evolving international panorama that offers challenges and opportunities, the new edition’s main topics are the advent of AI, sector trends and the development of European distribution. International Hardware Fair Italy already counts important confirmations from the leading brands and associations that play a key role in the international visibility of companies.

On 8-9 May 2025, professionals from hardware, DIY, garden & outdoor, safety, building, and colour sectors, as well as electrical and industrial supplies from all over Europe will meet again in Italy. It is an important event that expresses the dynamism of the segment on a global level and that is in synergy with EISENWARENMESSE and with all the fairs in the hardware portfolio of Koelnmesse.

“According to the EDRA/GHIN, HIMA and Dähne Verlag report, the European home improvement market is third in the world after North America and the Asia/Pacific area, with a turnover of over 158 billion Euros in 2022,” stated Thomas Rosolia, CEO Koelnmesse Italia. “A year ago we took on an important challenge, to build an all-Italian exhibition but with a European vocation to give voice to this sector, best expressing the strength of Italian companies. The market proved us right. The first edition’s results were beyond our expectations, with more than 5,300 visitors from 30 countries. The location in Bergamo was also of great success, a modern structure, easy to reach from Italy and Europe”.

Among the partners who have reconfirmed their commitment and support for the event is EDRA/GHIN, the Association that brings together DIY and home improvement retailers at a global level both for stores (over 34,000 in 78 countries), for large retailers and digital platforms. Furthermore, the following collaborations could already be ensured: ZHH (Association for specialized trade in the hardware sector); FWI the Association of tool manufacturers in Germany, Assofermet Ferramenta, the distributors’ Association and also Eskuin and MADE4DIY. The partners will be also involved in defining the conference programme which will focus on the most current and relevant topics.

Finally, a new edition of the Product of the Year Award, an eagerly awaited recognition by exhibiting companies, will take place during International Hardware Fair Italy.
