SANA FOOD IS BACK IN BOLOGNA.
FOR BETTER, HEALTHIER, GREENER EATING OUT OF HOME.

The B2B event is growing and welcoming new participants.
For the first time, Slow Food Promozione will be among the event’s partners, promoting sustainable and conscious eating.
The event will be held simultaneously with the Slow Wine Fair.

From 22 to 24 February 2026, SANA Food returns to BolognaFiere with an increasingly B2B focus on the future of food out of home. Its focus is even more markedly aimed at professional visitors who want to diversify their offering in the Horeca sector, in the traditional specialised channel and in restaurant-retail, and who are looking for producers selected for their authenticity, consistency and innovation, and for their focus on values such as respect for the land, food and people.

SANA Food will focus on everything organic, biodynamic, vegan, PDO, PGI, TSG and functional. To consolidate the event’s role in the organic and vegan sectors, the long-standing partnerships with FederBio, which has always been an ambassador for certified and environmentally friendly organic supply chains, and with V-Label Italia, the international benchmark for the certification of vegetarian and vegan products, synonymous with transparency and trust for consumers, have been confirmed.

Alongside the organic and vegan product categories, themed itineraries and guided presentations will offer new insights into extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar and honey.

SANA Food will also present the brand-new Social Food Area, dedicated to fair trade and sustainable agricultural production, created through social reintegration programmes or on land confiscated from criminal organisations.

In terms of partnerships, new for the 2026 edition is the collaboration with Slow Food Promozione. Created to promote conscious eating with a strong ethical focus, attentive to health and sustainability, it will bring selected Slow Food producers representing the best of biodiversity to the SANA Food exhibition area, as well as educational events, tastings and round tables on the main issues at the heart of the debate on agri-food policies.

The SANA Food offering will be further enriched by the concurrent Slow Wine Fair: organised by BolognaFiere together with Slow Food, this fair dedicated to good, clean and fair wine will be held in two pavilions adjacent to SANA Food, all accessible with a single admission ticket. Professional visitors from the commercial and collective catering and retail sectors will thus be able to visit both events and embark on a journey that highlights the relationship between sustainable, high-quality food and wine, benefiting from an integrated platform for business, networking and training.

Among the unmissable events for organic professionals is the seventh edition of Rivoluzione Bio, which represents Italy’s most authoritative forum for business leaders, experts and institutions to reflect on organic issues. During the event, which aims to promote organic agri-food as a strategic lever for the country’s development, the SANA 2026 data on consumption in the Horeca channel and organic exports will be previewed.

Thanks to the support of the Italian Trade Agency, operators will have ample opportunities for matchmaking with over 200 accurately profiled international buyers (importers and Horeca distributors), while high-end restaurants and eco-boutiques, historic taverns, wine bars, catering services and school canteens, sustainable cuisine establishments, organic shops, gourmet delicatessens, fair trade shops, and ethical purchasing groups.

The event areas will revolve around OoH! Lab, which will offer tastings, meetings and masterclasses for the Horeca channel, and the Lab Academy, which will host workshops, seminars and conferences.

SANA Food is organised by BolognaFiere with the support of the Italian Trade Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalisation of Italian companies, in collaboration with FederBio and Slow Food Promozione, and in partnership with V Label Italia.
The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, the Emilia-Romagna Region, the Municipality of Bologna and the Bologna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Crafts and Agriculture.
